Do I have to come to your lot to buy a shed?

No. We sell buildings entirely over the phone. Lots of our customers never visit the lot at all — they pick their building, size, and colors from the website, we answer any questions, and we deliver it to their property. Of course, if you want to see buildings in person first, you're welcome to stop by the lot in Plymouth.

How do I get a quote?

Call or text 252-943-5974, or fill out the quote form on this website. Tell us the style and size you're after and where it's going. We'll give you a straight price — cash price and monthly rent-to-own price — with no runaround.

How much does a shed cost?

It depends on style and size, and we publish real prices — no "call for pricing." For example, a 12x20 Lofted Barn is $7,617.60 cash, or $377.35 a month on a 36-month rent-to-own. A 8x12 Utility Shed runs $3,381 cash, or $151.71 a month on 48 months. You can see every style and size on our Prices page, updated as our inventory changes.

What's the difference between all these styles — barn, cabin, utility shed?

Same quality shell, different looks and layouts. Barns give you the classic gambrel roof and the most loft storage. Cabins add porches and windows for a look you can finish inside. Utility sheds are the workhorse — the most storage for the money. If you tell us what you're storing and what you want it to look like, we'll point you to the right one in about two minutes. We specialize in custom buildings, so bring your idea and we'll build it for you.

Can I come see the buildings in person?

Yes — the lot is at 1577 US-64 E in Plymouth. Check out our hours here. If you can't make it, many of the buildings we have for sale are photographed on this website with their price and building ID.

Do you deliver for free?

Yes. Delivery is free within 50 miles of our lot in Plymouth. Beyond 50 miles there's a small delivery charge — we'll tell you exactly what it is before you commit to anything.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for delivery?

Just have a clear, level spot ready where you want the building, and make sure there's room to get to it. We can set your building on blocks and level it when we place it. If your site needs something special — a spot that's hard to reach, or extra blocks — tell us when you order and we'll work it out.

How long does delivery take?

Most buildings deliver within 5 days of purchase. Sometimes we can even get them out quicker depending on scheduling.

Rent-to-own means you get the building now and pay it off monthly instead of all at once. There's no credit check. You make your payments, and when the agreement is paid off, the building is yours. If life changes, you can pay it off early anytime.

Is there a credit check for rent-to-own?

No. Rent-to-own through Carefree Rentals requires no credit check — that's the point. It's built for folks who'd rather not run a bank loan for a shed.

How much down, and what are the payments?

Are these buildings built for coastal weather?

Yes. We build every building to 150 mph wind rating specs — that's an in-house spec from plans designed for 150 mph wind, not an engineering certification. Every roof gets hurricane-tie rated hardware standard. We're on the coast of North Carolina ourselves, so we don't build them any other way.

What's the building made of?

We build with quality materials such as LP Smartsiding, Advantech sub flooring, premium framing lumber, 25 year CERAM-A-STAR metal roofing. Feel free to check in with us about building materials if you have a question.

Can I have electricity and finish the inside?

Yes. Many of our customers finish interiors — sheeted walls, insulation, electrical. All interior finishing is done on a custom basis so bring us your ideas and we will make them a reality.

What kind of foundation or floor does it need?

We set buildings on blocks and level them. Every building comes with a solid floor ready to use the day it is delivered. If you have a concrete slab or a gravel pad, that is even better, and we would be happy to set your building up on your prepared surface.

Do you move existing sheds?

Yes, we move sheds. If you've got a building that needs to go from one spot to another — across the yard or across the county — call us and we'll give you a quote based on the size and the move.
